Dark green cloth covered boards, corners and spine are bumped and frayed, wear on all edges, front and hinge is broke, there is a bookplate stating (The gift of Miss Helen Miller Gould for the use of Railroad Department Young Men's Christian Association Jonesboro, Arkansas class 621.9 bon Fan D.) There are two signitures but I cant make either of them out, I don't believe either are of Van Dervoot. 552 pages, with 673 engraving of the latest tools and methods, all of which are fully described. This is a book of practical instruction in all classes of machine shop practive including chapters on: Filing, fitting, drills, reamers, taps and dies, lathe and its tools, planers, shapers and their tools, milling machines and cutters, grear cutters and gear cutting, drilling machines and drill work, grinding machines and their work, Hardening and tempering, gearing, belting and transmission machinery, useful data and tables.
